A budding environmentalist and motivated business man
Matthew started M-Company in 2011 at age 7, with the hopes of making an environmental difference and learning important skills such as organization and planning.
Composting is a great way to contribute to a more environmentally friendly world but people often avoid it due to the mess it can produce. That is a problem that Enviro-liners hope to solve by making composting simpler and mess free while also finding a use for recycled newspaper.
“In grade 3 at Forest Valley Elementary School, we started a group called the Eco Bees. We learned a lot about composting and recycling, and that inspired me to create M-Company and make Enviro-liners.”
Today, M-Company has clients from the Ottawa area and across the country.
Matthew is now a teenager and his business continues to grow. His production team is always growing and he has sold thousands of Enviro-liners to many happy customers. As the business continues to expand, Matthew is always looking for opportunities to teach others about the benefits of protecting the environment.
Matthew believes it is important to give back to the community and has made charitable activity a priority. From donations to Roger’s house, The Food Bank and snow suit drives etc., MCompany is always looking to give back to good causes.
Enviro-liners are one place to start and he has his eye set on much bigger projects in the future.
